Music

Leader: Anthony Dixon

The Music Ministry lifts up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through song and praise.  Click on our audio section of the website to hear selections provided by our choir and music ministry.

Our leader who commits each week  to leading our choir/praise team and male chorus and congregation in songs of praise is Anthony Dixon.

Brother Dixon grew up in Selma, confessing Christ at an early age.  He joined the Shiloh Baptist Church in Potter's Station, AL at age 12, under the leadership of Rev. D.M. Moore.  For over ten years, Brother Dixon has used his musical gifts to glorify the name of Jesus.  He took formal music lessons under the Late Geraldine Given after moving to Birmingham, AL in 2001.  Since then, he has dedicated his life to serving the church.  As Minister of Music, he works to incorporate traditional and contemporary music, with a sense that hymns and spirituals will always play a part in the continued growth of the church.  Brother Dixon has used his musical gifts to include songwriting.  He has written a number of songs including:  "Don't You Give Up""So Wonderful", "Jesus You Mean Everything to Me" and "I Call It Love".  In addition to his time serving the church, professionally Brother Dixon works as a full time State of Alabama Law Enforcement Officer.    He currently resides in McCalla, AL.

Accompanying Bro. Dixon on the drums is L.J. Gildon, who does a wonderful job as percussionist for the music ministry.
